Mechanical Filtration
Quartz sand is used as the filtering media. The compact placement of solid particles creates microscopic channels through which water flows, while contaminants are trapped. High filtration efficiency and the low cost of media make this an effective and economical solution.
Sorption Filtration
Designed to remove chlorine and its derivatives, organic compounds, colloids, and fine particles. Activated carbon — especially from walnut shells — is used. It eliminates taste, odor, color, and turbidity, restoring the water’s organoleptic properties.
Ion Exchange Softening
Special resin granules provide a large reactive surface to remove calcium, magnesium, sulfates, and nitrates. These filters are equipped with a brine tank used for resin regeneration.
Iron Removal
A catalytic reaction on the surface of the media oxidizes dissolved ferrous iron into ferric iron, which precipitates and is flushed out during backwash. A small potassium permanganate tank is used for media regeneration.
